Debussy’s Petite Suite charms with its delicate textures and graceful dance rhythms, while Mozart’s Symphony No. 35, the spirited “Haffner” Symphony, sparkles with classical poise and energy. Poulenc’s Sinfonietta brings wit, exuberance and unexpected turns of phrase, before Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite transports us into a magical world of fairy tales, rich orchestral colours and tender lyricism. Under the direction of Christopher Stark, the Finchley Symphony Orchestra celebrates four distinctive musical voices, united by their brilliance, charm and expressive imagination.
